Ingredients

  • 200g of dried small siavonga Kapenta
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1 medium sized ripe chopped tomato
  • Very small grated onion(optional)
  • 250 meals of water
  • Salt to taste

preparation

Wash the dried small kapenta,place in pot add water and the chopped tomato season with some salt and cook for 10 minutes.
Once tender and soft,mix the peanut butter wit a bit of water to make a smooth paste,thereafter pour the peanut butter paste mix into the kapenta,throw in grated onion,mix well,and allow for the kapenta to cook for a further 5-8 minutes,remove from heat once cooked and sauce thickened..
